Nokia the leading mobile company has officially launched the Nokia 5250 on 15 August, but it will be available in market only by November 2010.

The specification and Review of Nokia 5250:

The Nokia 5250 is a 2G GSM enabled phone which runs on the standard Symbian OS also known as the Symbian S60 5th release, operating system and relies on quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE.
It’s screen is a 2.8” TFT resistive touch screen with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels and allows up to 16million color which is great for a budget touch phone as it gives the user more information in one panel, especially useful when reading chunks of text or surfing the Internet. It will be available in 5 various colors Dark Grey, Blue, Red, Purple and White.

The Nokia 5250 is being promoted as a budget touch screen phone for the music lovers so it provides an opportunity for a number of tracks which can be downloaded from the Ovi Music or private collections. It also supports video playback in the MPEG4, H.263, H.264, WMV, 3GPP, RealVideo 7, RealVideo 8, Flash Video formats.It also has an in built FM and the Music player supports MP3, AAC, eAAC, AAC+, WMA, WAV, RealAudio 7, RealAudio 8, M4A (Apple lossless), MP4, AMR, MIDI.

The camera is of 2.0 MP which clicks images with 1600×1200 pixels in JPEG format with image editor. Video is captured in QVGA, H.264 at up to 30 fps format with options to set the white balance and color tone effect and up to 4x digital zoom.

Nokia 5250 Memory
The internal memory is very low, only 51Mb but it can be extended up to 16GB using a microSD card. The phonebook memory however is practically unlimited and includes photo call option. The call records are very detailed, typical of a Nokia phone, and holds records up to 30days.

Internet options on Nokia 5250
The Nokia 5250 browser runs a standard WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML format. There are also widgets on the home screen that keep you connected with the different social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, Hi5 etc. It also supports video streaming, Adobe FlashLite 2.0 as well as Java TM MIDP 2.0 and email formats like IMAP/POP3/SMTP.
